while doing my research this week at the Hitchin Museum I found this article about George Brown in the Hertfordshire Gazette October 1st 1954.
The picture quality is not very good but maybe if your interested you could follow the subject up.

A request for Information
I was wondering if you could help me track down or have any information on a Mick Merrick who built and raced a Vincent outfit in the 60s.
I have what's left of his creation it
still has its original paint work with stickers of your club still on the
bike so I think he must of been or still is a member of your club.
The bike has lots of parts missing I would like to
restore the outfit to its former glory! if he is still around I would love to
have a chat as I know there was a miniature model of the bike made also he may
have old photos of the bike.
Sorry about the rush as I was hoping to enter it this
coming racing season to keep the Vincent flag flying.
