Important Messages From Your Chairman And Committee
1, Club Night Catering
Following this years AGM, the cost of the raffle tickets on club nights, which help pay for the food we all enjoy, is raised to £2.
This decision was made to try to stem the losses which have been made to the catering float following the raising of the donation to the pubs to £40.
2, Club Headquarters
Again at this years AGM the matter of our Club Headquarters was again raised, it was decided that we will continue with the Robin Hood as our Headquarters.
Committee meetings will be held there along with the Club barbeques, but an alternative venue will be planned for those Club Members who do not want to visit the
Robin hood or to witness the committee proceedings, this will be shown on the club calendar.
3, Club History For Our Fiftieth Anniversary
Amongst the many proposals to celebrate our upcoming Fiftieth Anniversary, in 2011, a photographic and written history of the club will be compiled
Any Member who has photographs, memorabilia or reminiscences of the past fifty years of the Club is asked to pass it on to our new committee member, Mike Shinnie.
4, Other Things For Our Fiftieth Anniversary
The committee is proposing a number of events to celebrate this landmark event, but any suggestions from Club members are welcome.
5, Machine Badges
Our regalia officer, Dave Clements, is looking to provide machine badges for those interested club members, both 50th anniversary issue and normal ones.
Any member who wishes to purchase one of these fine items should make themselves known to Dave, the cost is likely to be around £25, and a deposit may be required
