Some other pictures and a report from Colleen about the event:

Our Annual Club Dinner was held on Saturday 6th February at the Cromwell Hotel in Stevenage. I felt a buzz of excitement when the tickets went on sale so I jumped in there and got my hands on a pair of tickets so that we didn’t miss out! My excitement was building as I headed out to find that "perfect dress"; you know the one – the little number that you hope is going to knock 10 years off your age!

Finally the long-awaited evening arrived! There was a hive of activity when we arrived and everyone seemed to be in such high spirits. The ladies looked beautiful and the gents were so dapper-looking in their attire. I thought that considering there were 169 members/guests, the seating was nice and spacious. We were treated to a lovely meal (this is always a plus for me.) Well done Cromwell ! The dinner was followed by the speeches, starting with a speech from our Chairman, Tony Brown, who gave a run down of the years events. Pat Barrett our president then welcomed our guests and Tony then presented our annual awards.

We were then treated to a great disco offering a range of hits. The nice thing was that the DJ took requests so we enjoyed a variety of songs, both current as well as songs from "yesteryear" which I am sure brought back some good old memories. The dance floor was busy all night long with folk showing off their moves (there were some dodgy moves from time to time but I won’t mention names !) I found the evening to be a tremendous success and I haven’t danced and laughed so much in a long time. Although it took me almost two days to recover (and no comments about it being my age please !), I eagerly await next year’s event. So a very big thank you to all who were involved in planning this special event.
