Our annual George Brown Memorial Run was  once more a very successful event, 26 official entries and  lots of club members on modern bikes also attending.

GEORGE BROWN MEMORIAL RUN

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

                 1 The run shall be a road safety and social event.

                 2 The run shall be open to all machines first registered before December 31st 1999.

3 Entry fee shall be £8.00 per rider plus £5.00 for passenger

  • 4 Cheques and Postal Orders made payable to Stevenage & District M.C.C and sent with entry form to the secretary of the meeting.
  •                 5 Entry fees will only be refunded in the event of postponement or Abandonment.

    CLASSES

                   6 Each entrant shall compete in one of the following classes

      Class I Vintage Solo, manufactured between 1-1-1915 & 3 1-12-1930

      Class 2 Post Vintage Solo, manufactured between 1-1-1931 & 3 1-12-1944.

      Class 3 Post War Solo, manufactured between 1-1-1 945 & 3 1-12-1954

      Class 4 Classic Solo, manufactured between 1-1-1955 & 3 1-12-1971

      Class 5 Modern Classic Solo, manufactured between 1-1-1972 & 31.-12-1983

      Class 6 Nearly There Classic Solo, manufactured between 1-1-84 & 31-12-1999

      Class 7 Motor Cycle and Sidecar.

    AWARDS

    7 An award will be made to the best machines in all the above classes.

      Best British Bike

      Best Japanese Bike

      Best Two Stroke Bike

      The George Brown Memorial Trophy to the Best Vincent or HRD

      The Ladies Rosebowl to the Best Performance by a Lady Entrant

       The Joe Evanson Trophy for the Best Performance by a non club member.

      The Terry Ives Trophy for the Oldest Combined Age of Rider and Machine.

      The Dave Green Trophy to the Best Stevenage Club Member

  •  The Don Davies Memorial Trophy to the Best Stevenage Club member riding his Own Machine.
  •   The Ian Ashwell Trophy for the Best Entry by a Stevenage Club Member.

                   8 To be eligible for an Award, a rider or driver must complete the route.

  •        9 All vehicles must be in possession of a current Road Fund License, Insurance and MOT in compliance with     
  •            the Road Traffic Act.
